Our Removal Services
A complete moving service, tailored to your property, access and requirements.
Sandy Movers moves larger houses and family properties near Wimbledon Village, Wimbledon Common and South Park Gardens. Our house removals cover bedrooms, lofts, offices, garages, garden contents and large furniture. For complex multi-floor homes we agree the inventory, protective handling, crew and loading schedule before the move.
Sandy Movers handles flats near Wimbledon station, Wimbledon Park and the wider SW19/SW20 area. We confirm floor levels, lifts, service entrances and distance from the nearest legal van position. Beds and wardrobes that will not fit through an entrance can be assessed for dismantling and reassembly.
Sandy Movers provides small commercial relocations for town-centre offices, studios and shops. We document ordinary office equipment, desks, boxes and shelving, agree access windows and arrange delivery placement. We plan the vehicle around local restrictions rather than relying on an unbooked kerbside space.
Sandy Movers provides man and van services for small apartments, room moves, storage runs and furniture collections across Wimbledon. A compact student move needs a different crew from a heavy appliance on the third floor. Give us the full item list, stairs, lifts and parking so the job is safely sized.
Sandy Movers offers full and partial packing for Wimbledon family houses, flats and fragile rooms. We agree wrapping, boxes and labels and identify any furniture needing dismantling. A complete moving and packing scope helps avoid rushed work on moving day.
Sandy Movers carries out long-distance moves from Wimbledon to UK destinations. We confirm vehicle access and any Wimbledon event restrictions, then coordinate loading with the destination address and the agreed key collection or handover time.

"Affordable quote for moving from Addlestone to Camden. Responsive to messages. Very reliable service and kind crew. Thank you Gurshann and pal. (sorry, I should've taken the other crew's name). Our stuff were handled well and I was amazed how they quickly did loading and unloading. They provided extra bags to gather small stuff for easy transfer."

"We moved yesterday and used Sandy Movers, and they were by far one of the best moving companies we have ever worked with. The team was friendly, professional, hardworking, and extremely punctual. We were very impressed with their service from start to finish. They delivered exactly what they promised and handled everything with great care. While assembling our furniture, I requested a few changes, and they happily accommodated them without any hesitation."

Why Choose Sandy Movers
Direct family-run movers, clear pricing and fully insured removals — not a call-centre marketplace.
Sandy Movers vs Typical Alternatives*
*Typical alternatives refers to common issues customers may face with marketplace-style booking platforms, lead-generation sites, call-centre movers, budget listings or unverified man-and-van operators. It does not refer to every removals company.
24-hour booking flexibility depends on route, crew availability, access, job size and scheduling.
Moving to Wimbledon? Local Moving Guide
A short, practical guide to moving in and around Wimbledon — what we plan for and the services we offer locally.
Moving to Wimbledon works best when the moving plan starts with the actual property and loading point, not just the postcode. The guide below covers the local conditions that affect a removal van, crew and moving-day schedule.
Wimbledon Village is different from Wimbledon town centre
Wimbledon Village, the Common, Wimbledon Park and the town-centre station area have distinct roads and property types. Village houses may have larger inventories, gardens and multiple floors; central apartment blocks may require lifts, courtyards or loading bays. Sandy Movers plans from the real address in SW19 or SW20, not one generic postcode assumption.
Parking bay suspensions in the London Borough of Merton
Merton Council requires parking-bay suspension or yellow-line waiver applications at least ten full working days in advance. Its official suspension application sets the vehicle and bay requirements. Send us the approved parking position and any waiver conditions; the crew needs the actual distance from that position to the door.
Moving during Wimbledon Championships
The tennis Championships cause special parking and vehicle access restrictions around Wimbledon Village, Wimbledon Park, Church Road and Somerset Road. Merton Council publishes event-period parking restrictions and accompanying access rules. If your date overlaps the Championships, check the relevant year’s notices before confirming the loading time and route. A standard residents’ permit is not permission to ignore an event closure.
Wimbledon Village homes and gardens
Large homes around Wimbledon Village may include several floors, converted lofts, home offices, gym equipment and outbuildings. These belongings are easy to leave off a standard bedroom-count quote. For a large house, send a full walkthrough or grouped photographs so we can plan the team, vehicle capacity and packing volume.
Managed flats near Wimbledon station
Central Wimbledon flats may have service entrances, secure gates, managed lifts or restricted loading spaces. Confirm lift reservations, vehicle height restrictions and the exact door used for removals. Tell Sandy Movers whether furniture can travel by lift or must be carried on communal stairs.
Dismantling wardrobes and moving awkward furniture
Wimbledon period houses and apartment conversions can have narrow staircases and tight corner turns. Confirm dimensions for large sofas, wardrobes and assembled beds. Our team can include appropriate dismantling and reassembly in the confirmed inventory and plan the safe sequence of moving heavier items.
Wimbledon to Putney, Richmond and UK destinations
Sandy Movers handles journeys between Wimbledon, Putney, Richmond, Fulham, Kingston upon Thames and long-distance UK destinations. The right route accounts for school streets, Merton restrictions, the vehicle type and destination access. List any storage stop or second pickup address at enquiry stage.
Fast Wimbledon quote, correctly scoped
Send the SW19 or SW20 collection postcode, destination, date, room inventory, floors, parking and packing requirements. For Wimbledon Village homes, add garages, lofts, garden contents and large items. We can start with a quick estimate and confirm the crew, equipment and full scope without asking you to complete a perfect inventory before contact.
