Our Removal Services
A complete moving service, tailored to your property, access and requirements.
Sandy Movers moves family homes across West Putney, Putney Heath, West Hill and the streets off Upper Richmond Road. A three- or four-bedroom move can include loft boxes, garden furniture, bicycles and dismantled wardrobes as well as the visible rooms. Give us the full load and both property entrances so we can plan one coordinated house removal, including packing and assembly if required.
Sandy Movers handles flats around Putney Bridge, Lower Richmond Road and the Thames, including period conversions and buildings with concierge or lift-booking rules. We establish the actual loading entrance, floor, lift size and carrying distance before the move. Where beds or wardrobes will not fit through the stairwell, book our furniture dismantling and reassembly with the move.
Sandy Movers relocates smaller offices, clinics and studios near Putney High Street, Putney Exchange and the Lower Richmond Road corridor. We agree an inventory of desks, office chairs, monitors, files and ordinary stock, then set a loading and delivery sequence around building access and working hours. See our office relocation service.
Sandy Movers provides man and van in Putney for studio moves, room moves, small storage loads and sofa or wardrobe collections. Tell us whether either address has stairs, an awkward entrance or a long walk from the road; the right number of movers matters more than simply choosing the smallest van. We also handle collections between Putney, Fulham, Richmond and Wimbledon.
Sandy Movers offers packing services for complete SW15 properties or selected rooms such as kitchens, books, artwork and breakables. We agree materials, fragile-item preparation and box labels in advance so the delivery team knows which room receives each item. Packing and moving can be organised together rather than through separate companies.
Sandy Movers handles long-distance moves from SW15 to destinations throughout the UK. We confirm the collection access in Putney, the delivery address, expected key-release window and any storage stop, then agree the load, vehicle and team. For a move from Putney to Reading, Bristol, Cardiff or further afield, the carrying route at each home still determines the plan.

"Affordable quote for moving from Addlestone to Camden. Responsive to messages. Very reliable service and kind crew. Thank you Gurshann and pal. (sorry, I should've taken the other crew's name). Our stuff were handled well and I was amazed how they quickly did loading and unloading. They provided extra bags to gather small stuff for easy transfer."

"We moved yesterday and used Sandy Movers, and they were by far one of the best moving companies we have ever worked with. The team was friendly, professional, hardworking, and extremely punctual. We were very impressed with their service from start to finish. They delivered exactly what they promised and handled everything with great care. While assembling our furniture, I requested a few changes, and they happily accommodated them without any hesitation."

Why Choose Sandy Movers
Direct family-run movers, clear pricing and fully insured removals — not a call-centre marketplace.
Sandy Movers vs Typical Alternatives*
*Typical alternatives refers to common issues customers may face with marketplace-style booking platforms, lead-generation sites, call-centre movers, budget listings or unverified man-and-van operators. It does not refer to every removals company.
24-hour booking flexibility depends on route, crew availability, access, job size and scheduling.
Moving to Putney? Local Moving Guide
A short, practical guide to moving in and around Putney — what we plan for and the services we offer locally.
Moving to Putney works best when the moving plan starts with the actual property and loading point, not just the postcode. The guide below covers the local conditions that affect a removal van, crew and moving-day schedule.
Putney parking suspensions: arrange the right loading bay
SW15 covers streets with very different parking controls. Putney High Street, Upper Richmond Road, Lower Richmond Road and the streets around Putney Bridge cannot be treated as one parking zone. Wandsworth Council asks for seven clear working days for a domestic bay-suspension application. Apply using the official Wandsworth parking suspension service; the council decides whether the bay is suitable. Send Sandy Movers the approval, exact bay, time window and a photograph of the signs. A resident permit is not a reserved space for a removal van.
Putney Bridge, A205 and main-road access
Putney Bridge, the A219 Putney High Street, the A205 Upper Richmond Road and the roads leading towards Wandsworth can slow a loaded van. A legal place to load is more important than the shortest route suggested by a car navigation app. If the address is on a busy road, show us its side or rear entrance and identify any red-route or loading-bay restrictions before booking.
Large homes around Putney Heath and West Putney
West Putney and Putney Heath have substantial family homes alongside terraces, flats and conversions. Garden rooms, lofts, cellars and garages materially change the volume. For a large move, list outdoor furniture, exercise equipment, bicycles and storage cupboards alongside the room inventory. A short video walkthrough makes the van and crew assessment more accurate.
Riverside apartments and lift reservations
Putney Embankment and the streets near Putney Bridge include apartments with shared access and managed buildings. Ask the management company about loading times, protective lift coverings, service entrances and a lift reservation. Tell Sandy Movers the lift dimensions and the distance between the legal van point and the door. A booked lift does not reserve a parking bay.
Narrow staircases and furniture assembly
Period flats near Putney High Street and the smaller roads off Lower Richmond Road can have tight communal stairs and sharp landing turns. Measure large sofas, wardrobes and bed frames before the day and flag furniture that was assembled inside the property. Sandy Movers can include suitable dismantling and reassembly in the agreed removal scope.
Routes from Putney to nearby moving destinations
Local moves include Putney to Richmond, Fulham, Chiswick, Wimbledon and Kingston upon Thames. The safest route depends on vehicle access, Thames crossings and loading permissions at both ends. Give the collection and delivery postcodes, floor numbers, extra stops and any timed key collection, and we will plan the full journey.
School streets, access and move dates
Moving on a weekday can place unloading close to school arrival or collection periods. Check the signs near the property, especially if the van would use a residential side road near a school. A school-street restriction and a parking bay suspension are separate permissions. Share any building move-in slot or completion-time deadline when requesting the quote.
A clear Putney removals quote in minutes
Start with both postcodes, the number of rooms, the largest furniture and your preferred move date. Add stairs, floor numbers, lifts, parking arrangements and whether Sandy Movers should pack or dismantle items. Our online estimator gives a quick starting point; we then confirm the agreed work and booking details directly. You do not need a perfect inventory before starting the enquiry.
