Tell us where you’re collecting, what you’re moving and when you need it. Our team will review the details and prepare a tailored quote.
Add up to ten stops. Each one can be a collection, a delivery or both, with its own time window and access notes. Change the order whenever you like — we plan the route from the sequence you send.
Tell us about loading bays, restricted delivery hours, congestion or ULEZ zones and parking at each stop. Timed drops are planned around those limits. We’ll tell you if a sequence or time window doesn’t look realistic before you book.
Choose a driver only, driver help, a two-person or a three-person crew. Longer routes with heavy items usually suit a crew; light drops can often be done by a driver alone.
We use vans, not HGV or HIAB plant-haulage vehicles. We do not offer cranes, forklifts or specialist lifting plant. Declare dangerous or pressurised goods, batteries, fuels, chemicals and containers with residues before booking: classification, quantity, packaging and applicable rules affect acceptance. A load must fit the assigned van safely and legally, within its verified weight and axle limits. Tell us about any special requirements so we can assess them.
Driver-only, driver assistance or a larger crew, agreed against the load and site access.
Goods in Transit and Public Liability cover, subject to the policy and the declared load.

A useful multi-drop quote begins with the entire route, all collections and offloads, and the largest load aboard at any point—not simply the number of postcodes.
One van can serve several business addresses when the route and cargo make it suitable. A multi-drop run usually starts with goods on board and involves several deliveries. A multi-collection run gathers goods from several suppliers or sites. Mixed routes can collect and deliver at the same stop, or revisit a site later in the day.
For contractors, office teams, facilities managers and small businesses, this can mean supplier collections, deliveries between branches, return of reusable equipment or movement of suitable venue stock. Sandy Movers checks the proposed route, load and loading help before quoting a dedicated vehicle.
| Route type | Example | Most important check |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-drop delivery | One merchant collection, then several site deliveries | Recipient availability and goods for each stop |
| Multi-collection route | Several merchants or branches, then a depot | Maximum combined load before offloading |
| Mixed route | Collect and drop at different points | What remains aboard after every visit |
| Repeat or return stop | An address visited again later | Correct order, time windows and revised load |
The enquiry form supports ten stops, each labelled collection, delivery or both. Add a new stop only when you need one, move it up or down and include site access notes. You can explain more complicated returns in the message field.
A stated time might mean a booked loading bay, desired arrival, site check-in or completed offload deadline. Tell us which. We plan realistic route sequences around confirmed supplier readiness, expected travel, unloading time, parking, gate access and traffic. A guaranteed arrival time is not implied by selecting a date; any firm timed commitment must be explicitly accepted in the quotation.
An early goods-in closure can make a geographically longer route more sensible. For example, if Site B only receives items in the morning, it may need to be visited before collecting goods intended for Site C. That is an illustrative scenario, not a claim that a particular route automatically saves money.
Notify Sandy Movers promptly if an order is not ready, a loading bay is occupied or the receiving team is unavailable. We can discuss waiting, a revised sequence or returning goods, subject to safe storage, capacity and the agreed scope. Extra stops or returns are not automatically included in the original price.
The maximum simultaneous load matters more than the number of drops. A van leaving a depot half full could exceed its safe or legal capacity after three later collections. We need approximate or actual dimensions and gross weights per stop, plus which items leave the van when.
The appropriate Sandy Movers van has a stated working payload capacity up to around 1,000 kg, subject to the actual vehicle, occupants, fuel and axle limits. The load bay may offer roughly 4 metres length and around 1.8 metres width, but loading aperture and safe restraint still control acceptance. A roughly 3-metre overall van height must not be mistaken for 3 metres of internal cargo height.
Oddly shaped goods are assessed individually: one long object may sit safely at an angle, while another cannot clear the door or cannot be restrained. Describe the longest, tallest, widest and heaviest item and send photos where possible. GOV.UK van guidance and DVSA load-securing advice explain why dimensions and weight distribution both matter.
Goods needed at the first delivery should be identifiable and accessible without unnecessary unloading of later consignments. Label boxes, keep loose accessories together and explain fragile or non-stackable equipment. Load restraint must remain secure after removing part of the cargo; a diminishing load can change axle weight distribution even if total mass falls.
A builder's merchant may load a pallet with equipment while a city-centre office has stairs and no loading staff. Driver only is appropriate where the customer's teams perform the agreed loading and unloading. Driver help, two-person and three-person options exist, but suitability depends on item weight, access and safe handling. Select 'Let Sandy Movers recommend' if you are unsure.
Tell us how far the van can park from the goods-in entrance, whether the building has a lift, whether disassembly is needed and whether a compatible tail lift or other mechanical handling is available and permitted. A three-person team cannot replace specialist lifting plant.
For furniture-heavy work where physical handling is the main requirement, see two-person delivery and logistics. For site kit and fencing, see construction equipment transport.
These are use cases, not automatic commitments to install equipment, carry hazardous contents or perform specialist crane/plant work. If a booking concerns hired contractor equipment and handover responsibilities, our site-to-site transfers guide addresses those details.
A multi-stop quote accounts for distance and route order, load changes, crew, loading time, available parking, time windows and complexity. It may include planned waiting arrangements, if agreed. We do not advertise a universal per-stop fee or promise multi-drop transport is always cheaper than separate journeys.
For repeat deliveries, tell us the proposed frequency, usual itinerary, typical goods, which team can approve a changed stop and how much the load varies. A recurring arrangement does not remove the need to review vehicle fit and access for each materially different run.
If your business requires signed handover records, photographs or a particular proof-of-delivery process, request that explicitly. Do not assume live driver tracking or a specialist logistics platform is included. Check insurance information and provide declared consignment values before agreeing the service.
A real Sandy Movers job on 4 November 2026 involved two linked van journeys serving Godalming, Oval and Hertford, with a return to Oval. Items included temporary fencing, barriers, equipment stands, site furniture and extinguishers. The quantity at a later collection increased compared with the original brief, making clear communication and flexible replanning especially important.
The anonymised equipment-move case study explains the scope without naming the contractor, publishing precise private addresses or revealing commercial terms. It is a practical example of why good multi-stop instructions matter.
Start with the multi-stop commercial transport form at the top. Add each stop in the proposed order, mark collection/delivery/both, and include time windows, what moves between locations, access and crew preference. You can attach photos and explain repeat work.
We will review the complete itinerary and availability, discuss any necessary changes and prepare a personalised quotation. We confirm the final arrangements with you before booking.
