Our Removal Services
A complete moving service, tailored to your property, access and requirements.
Sandy Movers handles house removals in Kew, from terraces and period family homes to larger properties with gardens and storage. List every room, loft, cellar, bicycle and outdoor item so the team can be sized from the complete load. We plan protective handling for furniture and the journey between the legal van position and the door.
Sandy Movers moves flats around Kew Gardens station, Kew Road and Kew Bridge, including conversions with narrow staircases and managed buildings with loading instructions. Send the floor, lift dimensions, lift booking rules and carrying distance, not just the postcode. Furniture dismantling and assembly can be included for suitable beds and wardrobes.
Sandy Movers provides office and studio removals in and around Kew for desks, files, standard equipment and furniture. We agree the sequence of loading and unloading and coordinate building access when contractors or delivery vehicles require booking. Packing and labelling can be included in the same move.
Sandy Movers offers man and van in Kew for room moves, small flats, furniture purchases and storage runs. A narrow conversion staircase near the station may need a two-person crew even for a modest load. Share item sizes, floor details and photographs of the lawful loading point to receive the right proposal.
Sandy Movers provides packing services for Kew family homes and apartments, including kitchenware, glass, pictures, books and fragile belongings. We agree the materials and rooms to pack before the day. Clear labels and a packing sequence are especially valuable when a managed apartment has a fixed goods-lift slot.
Sandy Movers organises long-distance removals from TW9 to destinations across the UK. We assess Kew collection access, destination loading and key release together, then match the van and team to the total volume. The correct Kew Bridge or surrounding route is chosen for the vehicle and actual road conditions.

"Affordable quote for moving from Addlestone to Camden. Responsive to messages. Very reliable service and kind crew. Thank you Gurshann and pal. (sorry, I should've taken the other crew's name). Our stuff were handled well and I was amazed how they quickly did loading and unloading. They provided extra bags to gather small stuff for easy transfer."

"We moved yesterday and used Sandy Movers, and they were by far one of the best moving companies we have ever worked with. The team was friendly, professional, hardworking, and extremely punctual. We were very impressed with their service from start to finish. They delivered exactly what they promised and handled everything with great care. While assembling our furniture, I requested a few changes, and they happily accommodated them without any hesitation."

Why Choose Sandy Movers
Direct family-run movers, clear pricing and fully insured removals — not a call-centre marketplace.
Sandy Movers vs Typical Alternatives*
*Typical alternatives refers to common issues customers may face with marketplace-style booking platforms, lead-generation sites, call-centre movers, budget listings or unverified man-and-van operators. It does not refer to every removals company.
24-hour booking flexibility depends on route, crew availability, access, job size and scheduling.
Moving to Kew? Local Moving Guide
A short, practical guide to moving in and around Kew — what we plan for and the services we offer locally.
Moving to Kew works best when the moving plan starts with the actual property and loading point, not just the postcode. The guide below covers the local conditions that affect a removal van, crew and moving-day schedule.
Kew is TW9, but moving conditions differ from central Richmond
Kew falls within TW9, as does part of Richmond, but its main access patterns are distinct. Kew Road, Kew Green, Kew Gardens station, Sandycombe Road and the Kew Bridge approaches have different kerbside arrangements. This guide concentrates on Kew-specific access instead of copying the wider Richmond removals guide.
Kew controlled parking zones and events
Kew includes distinct controlled parking zones, including KA, KB and KC, with different operating hours and event controls. Richmond Council publishes zone boundaries and times and the bay-suspension procedure. Check the exact house number and road rather than assuming that a free bay near Kew Gardens applies to your address. Provide Sandy Movers the approved bay, date and carrying route.
Kew Gardens station and visitor traffic
Kew Gardens station and the surrounding roads attract commuters and visitors as well as residents. A weekday move and an event-day move may face different access and parking conditions. Allow for unloading time if the property is on a busy approach road, and check any building or street restrictions for the move date.
Kew Bridge, riverside routes and van access
For a home near Kew Bridge, distinguish the pedestrian route from the legal vehicle route. A car journey suggested by mapping software may not identify a suitable Luton-van stopping position. Tell Sandy Movers about gated courtyards, side entrances, loading bays and height barriers so the vehicle can approach legally.
Kew period homes and narrow staircases
Kew terraces and period conversions can have tall ceilings, narrow halls, split levels and stairs that turn sharply. Large furniture assembled upstairs deserves checking before collection day. Measure difficult items and send photos of the landing and front door; we can include suitable dismantling and careful handling in the agreed scope.
School Street restrictions near Broomfield House
Richmond Council lists a School Street trial serving Broomfield House School in Kew. Check the official location and hours when the collection route passes a school road during drop-off or pickup. Permission to suspend a bay does not automatically permit access through a School Street.
Local Kew routes and connected area pages
Sandy Movers handles moves between Kew, Richmond, Brentford, Chiswick, Ealing and other destinations. Include collection and delivery access, any storage pickup and the exact move date. Using one detailed inventory makes the quote useful for both shorter cross-river moves and longer relocations.
Start a Kew removal quote with the right information
Enter both postcodes, the move date and your main contents into the estimator. Add floors, lifts, parking, special furniture and packing requirements. For an older conversion or managed apartment, a few photographs of the entry route help our team confirm the move more accurately without turning the first enquiry into a lengthy survey.
